When providing first aid to the wounded, one of the priority tasks is to stop the bleeding. Our foundation regularly receives inquiries from the military, medics, and rescuers with a request to provide them with the means to stop the hemmorhage. They are always needed. Therefore, we have allocated a separate area of fundraising for the purchase of effective hemostatic agents
Medical tourniquet
This is a device that allows the wounded to apply the tourniquet to the limb. A person's life often depends on the presence of such a product in the first-aid kit of a soldier or rescuer. The cost of the turnstile on the Ukrainian market ranges from EURO 15 to EURO 50 and depends on its quality and functionality.
As fundings come to the foundation's account, we purchase tourniquets and immediately transfer them to the units of the Armed Forces, Territorial Defense, medical institutions and emergency services. This usually happens every 10 days
BloodStopper
As part of the Let us Stop Blood Together program, we also regularly purchase an innovative Ankaferd BloodStopper – medical product of Тurkish origin which provides immediate cessation of bleeding. We received its samples thanks to our partners and friends of Ukraine from Turkey.
The drug is made in the form of tampons or spray. It stops even heavy bleeding for a few seconds while disinfecting the wound. The wound does not require further washing, which saves precious time.
This drug is actively used by the Turkish army, police and other emergency services. It proved its extraordinary efficiency, in particular during the conflict in Syria
